Donnersohn
is a 16.3 dark bay, fully approved Hanoverian stallion, licensed in 2003 by both the American Hanoverian Society an
d the Hannoveraner Verband of Germany.  He is a son of the legendary Donnerhall, out of SPS Angelina, by Archipel.
Imported to the U.S. as a youngster, Donnersohn ("Dexter") enjoyed success on the line at Devon, then under saddle as a dressage horse, winning regional championships at third level.  He is currently owned & trained by  Helen Cast.  Dexter has successfully debuted at PSG & IOne 2012 to win FEI high score two days in a row at Saratoga& GMHA at 71%.  He finished his year with a 4th place ranking in the Nation with the USDF All Breed Awards at I-1 on a Median score of 69%.  Dexter is currently schooling GP.
Donnersohn offers light, expressive movement and has wonderfully comfortable, rhythmic gaits.  He is a modern type, with a leggy build that is easy to sit.  He is a bright and social stallion who is an absolute gentleman to handle.
Mare owners report that their Donnersohn babies are friendly, confident and highly trainable.  They have demonstrated success at breed shows and are now entering careers in the hunter/jumper ring as well as the dressage arena.
Donnersohn is currently standing in Massachusetts.  frozen semen are available.
Should you find yourself in the northeast, please make an appointment with Helen to see Dexter, he loves visitors!
